About Us

In 2011, I got my doctoral degree in ecology and evolution from the University of Bern, Switzerland. ​

​

I carry out researches on ecological and adaptive evolution of birds (especially breeding and migration behavior) and explore how evolutionary and ecological factors shape behavioral diversity using molecular systematics, population genetics, genomics, ecological field experiments and other methods. I use morphology, song, niche model and comparative analysis to study systematic classification and geographical distribution of endangered and endemic species in China. In particular, the implications of rapid globalization for the protection of bird phenotype and genetic diversity are discussed.​

I got my PhD degrees from University of Groningen and Beijing Normal University on 2016, and joined AEE lab. My studies were supported by NSFC and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Those works were published in Global Change Biology, Behavioral Ecology, Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology.

I’m an R user and a lazy birder. Fun fact：all the species that I’m working on or worked have colour in their name: Siberian crane (“white crane” in Chinese), white-naped crane, white stork, graylag goose and white-faced plover. 

Research topic:
I’m fantasied about movement ecology, migration ecology and animal behaviour, particularly interested in understanding the cause and consequence of individual variations using biologging technology.

Resently, I am learning Python and started my career as a “programmer”. Lastly, I am interested in birding, photography and sports.
